TOWEL

All gym users must use a towel in the gym and in all classes and it must be used to wipe down equipment and machinery after use. If you forget your towel you can hire a towel at reception. Small $2.50 or Large $5.00

EQUIPMENT

For Pilates and Yoga Classes you must bring your own yoga mat & towel. if you forget your mat you can hire a mat at reception for $5.00.

For Boxing participants will need their own boxing gloves, wrist & hand wraps are highly recommended but not essential.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Fresh Start Gym offers you innovative and high quality Group Fitness Classes, with something for all areas of your fitness. Below are the class descriptions for classes on our timetable.

BOXING

Boxing Classes concentrate on pad work in a circuit environment, mixed with other cardio exercises and plenty of push-ups. These classes are high intensity and are a fantastic way to tone quickly. You don’t need any experience, just come along.  Gloves are required, but first timers can borrow our gloves providing your purchase inner gloves from reception.       Back to timetable.

CARDIO CORE

Cardio Core - Is an ab blasting, heart pumping workout that will leave you feeling sweaty and strong in that core. During the class you may use spin bikes or skipping ropes, along with Freeform boards, Gravity Machine and Mat work on the floor for you core.  Back to timetable.

CIRCUIT

Classic Circuit - This class is made up of 8-16 exercise stations focusing on a total body workout. During this class you will spend a challenging 30sec, 45sec, or 1min on each station and you will rotate around each station 2-3 times. Circuit classes are a great for variety as they incorporate so many different pieces of equipment such as Dumbells, Kettle Bells, Gravity Machines, Spin Bikes, Skipping Ropes, Freeforms, Swiss Balls, and Agility Ladders. CROSSFIT

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that treats the body as a unit.  Every person who participates in CrossFit is treated like an athlete. Athletes must be fit for all different scenarios in life whether it be a specific sport or the sport of life. Each day a new work out is posted on our website for the day, these are know as Work Out of the Day (WODs). WODs are scaled to meet everyone’s fitness level and experience. This allows for everyone to participate in CrossFit and enjoy the benefit of this new style of training. WODs are made up of many different disciplines, weightlifting, kettlebells, gymnastics, rowing, cycling and running. FIT KIDZ & TEENZ

Fit Kidz & Teenz is a strength and conditioning class designed exclusively for kids aged 5-12 and teenagers aged between 12 and 17 of age. It is popular for kids and teens who want to get active and improve their strength and fitness. It is ideal for kids and teens who want to improve their self confidence or performance in their specific sport. It is also great for those who aren’t partial to regular sport but need to get active and lose some body fat.

The program combines age-appropriate weightlifting and gymnastics with high intensity training to deliver optimal fitness and performance. In a group setting, kids and teens participate in positive, fun and engaging workouts that deliver results and helps to develop a life-long love of fitness. Back to timetable.

CROSS TRAINING

Our X-training class provides a mix of different exercise from week to week covering all areas of fitness. May involve outdoor activities, weight circuits, spin, GRAVITY, aerobics or boxing. Back to timetable.

GRAVITY FREEFORM

The Gravity Freeform class combines the usage of the Freeform boards and the popular Gravity class. The Freeform Board offers many functional benefits including multi-planer applications and continuous movement combinations that have never before been possible. It also loads muscles through full range of motion thereby enhancing both the core and whole body strength and mobility at the same. Yet, the most  consistent and recurring feedback from Freefrom Board users is that it is the most fun, the most enjoyable and the most popular piece of equipment in the gym.

When you add the size, simplicity and convenience of the Freeform Board, you have the perfect tool for personal training, small and large group exercise classes. Back to timetable.

GRAVITY

Using the revolutionary GRAVITY TRAINING SYSTEM, these classes aim to improve muscular and cardiovascular endurance, strength, balance, agility, core stability and body composition for any age or ability. We run 30 & 45min classes, the long the class the more challenging the experience and the better results you will get.  Back to timetable.

GRIN

Gravity + Spin in the one class! What else needs to be said, it is strength training with a hit of high intensity cardiovascular training to get the muscles moving, heart pumping and sweat dripping. Back to timetable.

MAXHIIT

MAXHIIT is a 45min High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Workout that is run on a weekly cycle. Each week is a new adventure and will focus on either Aerobic intervals, Max High Intensity Intervals, TABATA, Pyramids or Fartlek (Speed Play). This class is a fat blaster class that will leave you crawling out the door, but still wanting more! You will love this! It is open to all people of all fitness levels. Come and give it a go! PILATES

This class focuses on spinal and joint alignment. Exercises are performed on all fours or lying on your front, side and back. All exercises focus on engaging the pelvic floor and working the deep abdominal muscles to effectively support the spine. Classes are suitable from beginners to advanced. You will need your own mat and towel. Suitable during pregnancy* but please advise the instructor as some exercises may need to be modified. Back to timetable.

PILATES FUSION

Pilates Fusion is a mix of Pilates, Tai Chi and Yoga set to a mix of invigorating, stimulating and relaxing music. This class is sure to give you an all over body workout as well as invigorate the senses. Back to timetable.

SPIN

A group exercise workout performed on our Magnetic Spin bikes. The class offers a high intensity cardio workout combined with great music and plenty of motivation. Back to timetable.

YOGA

Yoga is a direct experience of the vast interrelatedness of all life and of all things. You will feel at peace at the end of a yoga class because there is a natural realignment of your body which leads to a natural realignment of your perception of life and of who you are. You will need your own yoga mat and towel. These can be purchased at reception. Suitable during pregnancy* but please advise the instructor as some exercises may need to be modified.
