Our Strength & Conditioning classes are designed to

improve your total body strength & cardiovascular fitness whilst shift body fat at the same time!

What is Strength & Conditioning?
A form of exercise that focuses on building the power, strength and endurance of the body’s muscles. It involves a broad variety of exercises developed to improve the entire physical performance of an individual’s body. These components of fitness Include: Strength, Power, Endurance (Muscular & Cardiovascular), Speed, Agility, Mobility, Flexibility, Co-Ordination, Balance & Core Stability. There is a large variety of equipment used including: Barbells, Dumbbells, Kettle Bells, Medicine Balls, Power & Stretch Bands, Bodyweight exercises along with Rowers, Bikes, Treadmills etc.

How do the classes work?
All of the classes commence with a 10-15min dynamic warm up that focusing on stretching, mobility and movement preparation. After the warm up we get stuck into our 20min strength training component were we focus on Lifting, Squat, Pulling & Pressing movement to make your entire body stronger. Once the Strength training has been completed we then move into the conditioning phase, the duration is constantly varied 8-16min but it is always completed at high intensity to maximize calorie consumption & increase your overall cardiovascular fitness.
The post workout benefits will have your body consuming 10-25% more calories for up to 48hrs, which is great for those people looking for fat loss.



Who runs the classes?
Each class is conducted by a friendly, dedicated and qualified coach who is passionate about helping you reach your health & fitness goals!

How many people are in the class?
The average each class has 6-10 participants, so you are sure to get plenty of help from the coach with exercise technique and execution, along with motivation and encouragement for you to work hard to become a stronger, fitter, leaner and healthier version of yourself.

Who comes to the classes?
We have males and females attending our classes from 16 to 70 years of age. People who have minimal health issues to people with alot, inexperienced to experienced gym users, people with low fitness levels to people with high fitness levels. The classes are adjustable for everyone and the are inclusive of everyone needs. Our main goals is to ensure each participant enjoys their workout, that they train consistently, that they remain injury free and that they achieve their health and fitness goals.

When are the classes run?
Monday: 6.30am, 10.15am & 6pm.
Wednesday: 6.30am, 10.15am & 6pm.
Friday: 6.30am, 10.15am
Saturday: 6.30am
Note: All classes run for 1hr in duration and if the current times do not suit you please let us know as we are looking to start more classes as participant numbers increase.

How much does it cost?
Strength & Conditioning members get exclusive access to our Strength & Conditioning Classes along with all of the classes on the
Freshstart timetable . If you can't make a class because of some other commitments, thats ok you can have 24hr access to Freshstart Gym, with unlimited access you can come and complete the daily workout in your own time. As for membership prices they vary so it is best to call us to discuss the best option for you.
